The Will & Grace star will play the ex-wife of Amy Poehler’s character’s boss.
“She’s married to Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson, but they play exes on the show,” Jones said.
Mullally is currently shooting her episode, which will air on Oct. 29. In last week’s episode, Ron was incapacitated with a hernia. Could his ex-wife cause him similar pain?

Megan Mullally is making a full-time comeback to prime-time television. The Will & Grace alum has joined the cast of the Starz comedy Party Down. She’ll play Lydia Dunfree, who leaves her small town and joins a Los Angeles catering team while she helps her 13-year-old daughter pursue her dream to be an actress. The half-hour series starts production on its second season in mid-September and is set to air in April 2010.

Recently Megan spoke in an interview about possibly bringing back her beloved Will & Grace character, Karen Walker, back as the star of a musical.
“I’m going to do Karen: the Musical,” she announces with a sly smile. “The idea is that Karen decides she is going to do a Broadway musical for a variety of hilarious reasons. It’s a couple years out. My very good friend Jeff Blumenkrantz is doing music and lyrics. We’ve been collaborating on this for a few years and have everyone’s permission to do it, if you know what I mean. We’re just now starting to go out to book writers and directors. I just think it’s a funny idea.”
