In the spring of 2000, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman met after they were both cast for roles in the play “The Berlin Circle” at the Evidence Room. After their first rehearsals together, Nick was the first person out of the cast to introduce himself to Megan and compliment her on her performance. He didn’t know that she a star of a major hit sitcom. At first, Megan didn’t really think Nick was “her type” but, over the course of rehearsals, she started getting to know him more and more and realized he was really funny (and not to mention, cute). By the time the play wrapped, Nick and Megan were a couple.
Nick was born June 26, 1970 in a small town in Illinois. He worked in Chicago for years doing theater. Some of his television and movie credits include the movies

George Lopez. In 2001, he had a guest appearance on
Will & Grace. Nick played a plumber who “Karen” had contemplated cheating on her husband with. Interestingly enough, the first time that “Karen” ever kisses a man that wasn’t her husband it’s with Megan’s real-life boyfriend. He has a couple of other roles in movies with Megan such as
Speaking of Sex and
Stealing Harvard. Nick is also a very talented carpenter as well as an actor.
In 2002, Megan and Nick announced their engagement after two years of dating. Nick proposed in a London park with Megan’s ring in a wooden heart-shaped box Nick made himself. During their engagement, Nick and Megan did another play together at the Evidence Room called “Mayhem”.
They were engaged for a little over a year. They decided on a small wedding, which took place in the backyard of their house. Nick and Megan decided to surprise everyone and told no one that they were going to get married when they invited friends and family over to their house. Their cover story to get everyone to their house was that they were going to fly family in for the Emmys (which took place the next day) and they would all get together the day before so that they could see Nick and Megan’s new house. The ceremony was very small, performed by one of Nick’s college professors with only their family and closest friends (including Megan’s
Will & Grace cast mates) in attendance. Megan wore a simple white bustier and pants.
Nick’s made several appearances on Megan’s 2006 talk show,
The Megan Mullally Show. Megan’s told us many hilarious stories involving Nick in the past on various talk shows and numerous ones on her own talk show. One thing their marriage definitely never appears to be is boring.
Nick and Megan are currently living in their L.A. home with their poodles Willa and Elmo.
